Project Outline

Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) is an independent Manufacturing and Industrial Energy Efficiency Research Organisation focused on delivering solutions to manufacturing. Appointed by IMR, Long O Donnell (LOD) provides procurement and programme management services to their organisation. LOD advises on the contract strategy during all phases of the procurement cycle, establishing the form of the procurement, providing guidance and assistance in determining the formulation, award of the contract and advise on contract management.

LOD is on hand to provide support to IMR whenever they need it. This includes: sharing procurement knowledge and best practice, and providing training to ensure compliance throughout the supply chain. LOD minimises unnecessary expenditure and maximises quality and performance to IMR’s supply chain. Specialist skills are adopted including earned value, risk reduction techniques, and cost control, improving delivery of their procurement needs.
