Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of gas pipelines to check for leaks, corrosion, or any signs of wear and tear.
- Oversee the construction of new pipelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Verify that safety measures are in place, such as proper signage, fencing, and emergency response plans.
- Ensuring that Effective Safety Discussions and Hazard Spots are undertaken and recorded along with those raised by Contractors
- Prepare detailed reports of inspection findings, including any deficiencies or areas of concern.
- Ensure all documentation is in order for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Communicate inspection findings and recommendations to pipeline owners, engineers, and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct internal audits of the pipeline system to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
Required:
- Educated to at least ONC/OND level or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Good knowledge of High & Intermediate pressure gas networks
- Delivery focused and able to achieve business critical timescales and work under pressure.
- Recognised training or qualifications in Health, Safety, Environmental management
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Experience of supervision of operations or projects; or, experience of work delivery in a team leader role including discharging competent person role on high pressure network
